Instead of focusing on finding the most optimal diet, exercise plan, supplements, pre-workout, etc, you just focus on starting.

Your quest to figure out how much fruit is too much fruit is keeping you from just eating the fruit...which is way better for you than a sugary processed snack.

You researching a million protein powders and trying to find the most absorbable one is keeping you from just picking one and getting in your protein.

You obsessing over which is better, brown or white rice is keeping you from simply adding in either instead of the processed foods you normally eat.

You have convinced yourself that healthy eating is difficult. That it is hard and complicated because you FIRST have to answer ALL the questions and THEN move forward from there.

But when you approach it like that all you have done is made the gap from where you are to where you want to go seem impossible.

Here's what you do instead...

Start.

Eat the whole freakin pint of strawberries because it's better than eating a whole sleeve of Oreos.

Grab a protein powder and focus on the actual habit of taking it daily.

You don't NEED to find the perfect thing...you need to focus on the basics.

Get the basics down...

Move daily
Drink half your body weight in water
Eat mainly whole foods (roughly 80%)
Get in about 1 gram of protein per your bodyweight
Get about 7 hours of sleep
Get some sunshine daily

It's not going to make much of a difference if your protein powder is the best on the planet...if you haven't worked on the habit of actually taking it.

And that goes for everything else as well.

Focus on the basics.

Make those a part of your normal daily life and THEN work on optimizing.

Odds are you may not even need to because the basics get you exactly where you want to be.
